Transform Your Smartphone with a Selfie Stick

Selfie Sticks have become the hottest accessory out there. Everywhere you look you see them. But how do you choose one from all the options? For me it was this model from MPOW. It is new for 2015 and has a few new upgrades over prior models. It is smaller than others, it’s size range is about 7″-31″. That makes it easy to throw in your bag, it will even fit in your pocket. The cradle folds down for storage & the top is rubber which will make sure that your phone won’t slide out. The cradle will also rotate 270° so you can get the perfect angle to take your pictures. The grip also is non slip with a Bluetooth remote built in. The nice thing about this selfie stick is that you can put it away until you need it, It is not a distraction. I only wish it helped me take better pictures.

Product arrived in a very basic small packaging box, nothing special here except for a clue how compact it’s going to be! Inside, you will find a collapsed self-portrait monopod, usb to micro-usb charging cable, and a manual. The whole setup and operation is very easy and self-explanatory, don’t even need instructions for that. Basically, the design has two parts, a handle with telescopic stick and U-shape clamp. This is supposed to be MPow’s updated version of the design, and even so I didn’t see their original one – I have read this new version has an improved clamp design and smoother telescopic extension. Indeed, telescopic extension was very smooth, required a little bit of force to pull it out, but still was easy to operate. You don’t want it to be too tight because if you apply too much force you can bend it, or too loose because extension will not be secure enough. Here it was just perfect. Handle/stick extends from a nominal 180mm all the way to 810mm – plenty of room to capture yourself and a chunk of space behind you.
